Real Estate Translations
Facilities Management Services encompass a wide range of services including strategic audits, integrated building planning, maintenance systems, fire safety, commercial property management, security, energy efficiency, IT systems, disaster recovery, building information modelling and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning).
McFelder Translations has years of experience working in the Facilities Management (FM) / real estate translations sector. Across the world, facility management services are employed by a variety of companies and organisations in order to optimise their operations. FM clients can operate on a local, national or international basis. In parallel we also have significant expertise with the Corporate Real Estate sector with clients in UK, USA and Poland. McFelder started translating facilities management texts in 2005 and have built up our portfolio of FM clients. This is a specialist field which few agencies share our same level of knowledge and expertise. For this reason a large percentage of business wins are via client recommendation.
McFelder only collaborates with native translators with the relevant knowledge to carry out such translations. Each translator is screened to ensure their knowledge and linguistic abilities in the respective sector. Translators who have worked in the industry or field will have the knowledge and understanding of the specific terminology in order to competently translate the documentation. We use selection procedures to identify from our network of specialist FM translators who are the most suitably qualified to be assigned to each respective project. The Project Manager will also select an additional technical translator to revise the translation.
Translation memories (TMs) are created per translation project and per language combination which are then applied to subsequent translation projects with the specific client. If the translation is edited or modified by the client these changes are updated in the TM. In this way any changes made by the client are automatically incorporated into any future assignments. The TMs are then provided to the translators prior to embarking on the next project. In many cases the client has a specific company terminology rather they require to be incorporated into the translations for terminology consistency in all languages.
TMs can be applied to reduce translation costs if the texts contain repeated text segments therefore the client benefits from cost efficiencies and accurate translations.
McFelder Translations have been our preferred translation partner for several years. McFelder were selected due to their Facilities Management expertise, and all of our collaborations to date have met and surpassed our expectations.
EuroFM has worked in association with McFelder Translations since 2006 to produce the newsletter European Facility Management Insight. During this time we have developed an excellent relationship and appreciate their professionalism. We have recently released the latest edition of our publication and the quality of work from McFelder was excellent.
